Management is a broad field of study with a variety of employment opportunities for qualified candidates. After earning a management degree, you may apply for different types of jobs, including a chief executive, sales manager, marketing manager and human resources manager.

CAT

The CAT Test is the most famous of the annual IIM entrance tests. Many hopefuls aspire to obtain an MBA from a reputable institution. CAT Exam is required for applicants applying for admission to MBA programs.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is most renowned national-level entrance test, allowing candidates to gain admission to senior management institutes. There is no wonder that it is the country’s largest MBA entrance exam. This Common Admission Test is administered on a rotating basis by the IIMs (Indian Institutes of Management).

The CAT Exam is generally scheduled to take place in November. It is a computer-based exam given in 156 cities across India.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% accumulation or equivalent CGPA (45% aggregate for SC, ST, and PWD/DA categories).

Candidates who have completed a graduate qualification (CA/CS/ICWA) with the required percentage are also eligible to take the CAT.

Candidates in their final year of a bachelor’s degree/equivalent credential who are awaiting their results are also able to qualify for the CAT  exam.

CMAT

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Scale Entrance Examination for admittance to the country’s Management Program(s). This Test enables AICTE-affiliated partaking institutions to identify appropriate graduate applicants for admission to Management Courses.

The NTA administer the CMAT. The CMAT is a three-hour computer-based online test that assesses candidates’ abilities in areas such as Quantitative Ability, Logical Ability, verbal fluency, general awareness, and innovation and entrepreneurship.

CMAT is a three-hour computer-based exam. It is made up of objective questions divided into five sections. In the exam, each section is given equal weightage. However, there are no separate time limits for each section. CMAT is primarily a mix of easy and moderate-level questions designed to assess MBA aspirants’ overall aptitude.

Any students with a Bachelor’s Degree are eligible to take the exam. They must have a three-year degree in any discipline. Final year students are also eligible to appear the exam

SNAP

The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a national-level MBA entrance test administered by Symbiosis International University (SIU) for enrollment in management initiatives at its associated institutes and many other private B schools. SNAP is only held once a year, in December/January.

SNAP is a computer-based test that is divided into three sections. It is divided in three sections.

Section 1: General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning and Ability

Section 2: Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency

Section 3: Analytical and Logical Reasoning

NMAT

The Graduate Management Admission Council administers the NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test) (GMAC). Every year, over 50,000 people take the NMAT. NMAT results are accepted by a number of top business schools in India, Morocco, South Africa, the Philippines, and Nigeria. It is one of the few entry exams in India that is designed in accordance with international standards. NMAT, created by the same people who created the GMAT exam, employs an evaluation method that brings out the best in applicants.

NMAT has been administered in two modes since 2020: computer-based at test centres and faraway online proctored at home. By selecting the retake alternatives, a candidate can appear three times in one testing year.

Vocabulary Knowledge, Numerical Skills, and Logical Reasoning are the three sections of the NMAT. Each section has a different time limit. Candidates must complete each section’s queries within the assigned section time. You can proceed to the next segment once you have finished the previous one. However, once you have submitted a section or its time limit has expired, you will be unable to return to it.

The NMAT pattern changed in 2020, with the total number of questions reduced from 120 to 108, and the sectional time restrictions adjusted accordingly.

 

Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes.

MAT exam is conducted for admission to MBA and PGDM/PGP programmes offered by over 700 B-Schools in India. The exam is conducted multiple times in four phases – February, May, September and December.

MAT  assess the aspiring candidates across 5 sections, that include, Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian and Global Environment.

TISSNET

Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai conducts TISSNET exam generally in  Februaryevery year. TISS-NET is a university-level entrance examination conducted by the Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) for the pursuit of admission into its BA/MA/Ph. D. programs..

There will be 100 questions carrying 1 marks each.

There will be 3 sections. First section is of General Awareness 40 Questions,Maths 15 Question Logical Reasoning 15 Question, and English 30 Question.

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test)

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. Apart from XLRI and 10 other XAMI member colleges, over 1,000 B-schools accept XAT scores for admission to their post-graduate management programmes.

CUET PG

The CUET PG exam will be given twice a year, and it will cover a total of 27 subjects. Candidates who are planning on taking the entrance exam and intend to do so to gain admission to one of the colleges affiliated with the universities participating in the exam are required to be familiar with every aspect of the CUET  Syllabus. The CUET (PG) will be held in English and Hindi (Bilingual), except for papers on language and Sahitya.

CUET PG Exam Pattern

The CUET PG  exam consists of multiple-choice questions, with a total of one hundred.
The question paper for the CUET 2022 will be given to candidates for 2 hours
Each correct response will result in the candidates receiving 4 points, while each incorrect answer will lose 1 point. There will be no awarding or deducting points for questions left unanswered or blank

In General test subjects will be Maths, Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
